Campus Ministry
Portrait of a PCA student/Luke 2:52
The goal of the Campus Ministry Team is to develop and implement an intentional PK through Twelfth Grade spiritual development plan which complements the biblical worldview training already woven into the curriculum. Luke 2:52 tells us that Jesus grew in wisdom, stature and favor with God and man and we use those four categories as a backdrop for our spiritual development plan. Each pillar of Luke 2:52 is divided into ten different categories providing forty topics that we intentionally address through the various programs and ministries at PCA.
Our flagship program is our chapel, a weekly spiritual development time which is actually five different events per week. There is a specific chapel for each of the following age groups: PK-First Grade, Second- Fourth Grade, Fifth-Sixth Grade, Seventh-Eighth Grade, and Nineth-Twelfth Grade. Chapel includes a time of worship as well as a speaker and is followed by small group Advisory Time. During this time students are instructed how to study God’s Word using the observation, interpretation, application paradigm in order to learn how to study Scripture on their own.
The Campus Ministry Team coordinates other activities related to the spiritual life of our school community. Some of the activities include:
- Upper School Retreat
- Middle School Retreat
- See You at the Pole
- Service project days
- Homecoming
- Junior-Senior Banquet
- Graduation
- Instructional assistance to teachers
- Manna Mondays
- World Impact Day
